Here at Barley Lane Montessori Day Nursery, the quality of childcare and education is of utmost importance to us.

Meet The Team
We have a wonderful, experienced and friendly team here at Barley Lane. The day Nursery is led by Meesha Chauhan, Director cum nursery Manager, and Martina Kanakova, Deputy Manager.
Each room is managed by a Room Supervisor who is qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education (or equivalent).
Alongside the Room Supervisor are a team of staff qualified to a minimum of NVQ 2 in childcare and education (or equivalent), many currently working towards NVQ 3.

Staff Training & Qualifications
Every member of the team has been selected carefully for their experience, knowledge and understanding of children's needs, and all are required to hold a current Enhanced CRB Disclosure (police check).
All new staff and trainees undergo a comprehensive induction and have access to regular Trainings and annual appraisal in order to maintain and develop their skills.

Uniform
Uniforms are provided for all staff and trainees, and everyone is required to be smart and presentable at all times with care taken to ensure a minimum of make up and jewellery is worn on duty.
